What payment methods do you accept?
All of our payment method information is available on our payment methods page.
My package was returned to sender, what do I do?
If your package was returned due to an improperly submitted address – please note we do not edit addresses after submission, we ship exactly to what you enter, we’re happy to resend your package. Please purchase $5 of “Custom Order” and drop the original order number in your notes, we’ll reach out if we have any questions! Please be aware that orders returned due to improper address are not eligible for refunds. If something went sideways on our end in getting your package to you, we’re happy to reship on the house!
My syringe looks like just water!
Check out our page on Spore Homogenization! If you’re convinced something is still wrong, or your syringe is below our quality thresholds, further instructions can be found on that page.
Are your products edible?
With the exception of our Edibles Collection, no. None of our liquid cultures, agar plates, or spore samples are for consumption.
I need to ship to a different address than my billing address.
In order to prevent fraud, I do not allow for billing and shipping address to vary. If you need your order delivered to an address other than your billing address, you must reach out prior to placing an order. Identity verification and a signature by a 21+ adult will be required on delivery for such orders.
While I can’t offer refunds for orders placed that don’t follow the above procedure, you’re able to intercept packages by setting up mail forwarding or through a package intercept.
Do you ship active spores to Idaho, or Georgia?
No, but we’re more than happy to ship any other products to the aforementioned states!
Why are your agar plates made-to-order?
The delay can be annoying, yes, but it allows us to only send out the very healthiest of cultures!
How do I know if my payment was processed successfully?
Simple! If you don’t hear from us, you’re all set!
Can you ship the rest of my order before my agar plates?
You bet! Add this item to your cart and we’ll ship everything but your plates on our next ship date! Curious about shipment times? Check our cultures shipment page!
Do you take cryptocurrency?
Sure do! We presently accept Bitcoin, Litecoin, Cardano, Ethereum, Monero, and Ripple. For the most up to date payment information, check out our payment methods page.
Are you Southwest Mushrooms?
We have no affiliation with Mike and Southwest Mushrooms. They’re fantastic and you should absolutely support their business!
I live in Albuquerque, can I pick up locally?
Unfortunately, we aren’t presently able to offer a local pickup option. Please select “Local Delivery” at checkout to save some $$$ if you live in the 505 and 575!
It’s cold/hot where I live, what should I do?
Head over to the USPS Package Intercept page and request they hold your package at the local post office. We can’t do this for you unfortunately!
Can you please bag my items before shipping?
Happy to do so – please just drop a note in your order notes at checkout and your items will be individually bagged. We don’t do this unless requested to limit the use of single-use plastics. There’s far too much waste in the mycology space already, so let’s all do our part to reduce it!
Do you ship internationally?
We’re happy to ship to any international destination where gourmet or active samples are legal. For international orders, please send us an email
Something Else Is Wrong!
Head over to this page and let’s see what we can do to make it right!
Are you associated with The Shroomery?
Nope! However, it’s a fantastic community of brilliant people – definitely worth being a part of!
Why are there duplicate images on some products?
Due to the legal gray area surrounding cubensis and other active samples, we can’t be sure of the phenotypic displays of active samples. All of our images are received from customers or other members of the community where growth of psychoactives is allowed. However, as we can’t absolutely guarantee what cultivar is displayed, we have to use randomly assigned images. Good eye!
What is the “Difficulty” on some products?
Difficulty means how difficult a species is to cultivate! Our scale is a ranking out of five!
🍄 | Beginner friendly. A great starting place |
🍄🍄 | Intermediate. A bit more difficult, but nothing too hard yet. |
🍄🍄🍄 | Advanced. Many exotics or wood loving species fall in this category. |
🍄🍄🍄🍄 | Highly Advanced. Fungi that require specific nutrients, fauna nearby, and other very minute details fall in this category. |
🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄 | Whoa Nelly! Some fungi with this classification have never yet been domestically cultivated! Brush up on the difference between saprotrophs vs mycrophytic fungi! |
